Event Foundation Day:
AMRO Institutes Celebrated it's Foundation day for the first time on our newly built ( though partially completed) campus. It was a big change from celebrating the foundation day at Hotel Plaza to Splendor Halls. Finally we are home. The guests included Mr. Harish Bhai Gogad, Adv Mrs and Mr Ashokan, Mr. Deepak Khadke, Mr.Monit Dhavle and Branch manager of Indian Bank Ambad Branch. The chairman welcomed the guests and after the traditional lighting of Lamp the program started. All new entrants were welcomed. The chairman took every one on a tour of our new campus land which spreads over 5 acres with a river touching our ground on one side and Huighway touching at the other . The Chairman informed that the Affiliation with Pune University is granted and it was matter of days before we got the proper affiliation letter from the university. The affiliation letter from the Department of Tecnhical Education was already in our possession. The speach also included the announcement of new scholarships for the coming year/s. The guests and students with their families were treated by a delicious brunch prepared solely by Amroites.

Event: Independence Day Celebrations
Once again the Independence day was celebrated for the first time on campus. The students and faculty were so cheerful as finally we were home to celebrate all functions on Campus. the freshers were full of enthusiasm . After the flag hoisting by the Chairman students sang some devotional songs sweets were distributed to the students and faculty. The event was concluded by having lunch which was prepared by the senior students.

Event: Parsi New Year ( PATETI)
This year the parsi new year was celebrated with great enthusiam. Even though we did not have any student / Faculty of Parsi descend the students celebrated the occassion with traditional Parsi Menu meal ( prepared by the students)was served to end the occassion

Event: Pran Prathisthan of Shri Sai Saba's Idol at our newly built temple
Now the students , faculty members , friends and even passers by can have DARSHAN of Shridi's Sai baba in AMRO CAMPUS. Today there was about nine and half hours of Pran Prathisthan Pooja conducted and finally the Idol of Shri Sai Baba was placed in the temple ( please look at the picture of the temple and Sai Baba on the front of our web page display). The Pooja was done by the FIVE priests of Shri Shirdi Sansthan who had grafully performed all the rituals. Now all of us can say " BOLO SAI NATH MAHARJ KI JAI" at our own campus.

Event: Teachers Day
Teachers day was celebrated at our Campus in the memory of our beloved Late President Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan. The chief guest for the occassion was Principal Nyogi. In his speach Prin Nyogi gave his opinions about the importance of the day. Our Chairman shared his opinion for the occassion and told the gathering as to how fortunate he was, that he had the occassion of personally meeting Dr. Radhakrishnan in 1966 . Our Chairman was a NCC cadet at that time representing Rajasthan for NCC Airwing and had gone to represent Rajasthan for the Republic Day's Parade in New Delhi.

Event: Chairman's Day
It is our Chairman's birthday today. The students and faculty decided to give a surprise party to our Chairman Sir. All students gathered at Silver Oak House at Adgaon Naka. In the natural settings this place is full of naturl ambiance. there are even Tree houses. the idea was given by one of our PGDTTM student Mr. Sagar Borade, it is his father who owns this resort. The day was full of activities starting from breakfast , luunch and evening snacks and tea/coffee. in between there were plenty of games , and dance party. Every one had a blast. Happy Birthday Chairman Sir.

Event: International Chef's Day
This day was celebrated on campus and the special invitees included Chef Parag Kanhere ( Corporate Exec Chef of Emarald Group of Hotels), Mr. Sharukh Patel ( Head of Puffs and Rolls ), Mr. Ramkumar Singh ( AGM of Hotel Emarald Park). The event was compered by Mr. Ulhas Chaudhari ( faculty memebr). All the guests shared their opinions and experiences in this Industry. the evening was concluded with refreshments and Tea/ Coffee.

Event: Krishi 2007 wine tasting stall
On the Dongre vasti grounds of Nashik an exhibition of Krishi 2007 was held. Here the organisers had requested our institute to man one of the stalls which was in their wine tasting room. Here all the major wine produducers had their stalls and in the middle we were given a stall to conduct wine appreciation sessions. Under the guidance of Mr. Ulhas Chaudhari ( who conducts our Bartending courses and is an expert in bartending and art of mixology) several of our Bartending students conducted the sessions. thansk Mr. Vallabh Ozerkar, Rohan Soni, Pradeep Prabhakar and other faculty and students who chipped in with their valuable time. It was a learning experience for the Nashikites as to how to tastewine and how to hold a glass. These small items might be very simple but are important. The students got their exposure for the first time for this kind of Expo.

Event: An Industrail Visit to " TERROR winery" Samgaon
We had an outing on this date to visit the Indus winery. The facility is not very far from our new campus. Even though it is about 20-25 Kms from the city but our Institute being in the outskirts it was close enogh. Thank you very much Ms. Violet. She met us for the first time at the Krishi 2007 Expo and after two months we paid a visit to their facility.

Event: An Industrail Visit to " Vinsura Wines at Vinchur
One more outing was arranged to visit Vinsura Wines at Vinchur in Niphad Dist. We had rented a ST Bus and all students and faculty members went to pay a visit to Vinsura. They export a lot of their products. We take this opportunity in thanking Mr. Khadangle for allowing us this visit and also sparing some his valuable time for the students questions. Students had the opportunity of personally meeting the Wine maker himself Mr. Sharma who shared his expertise in wine making.

Event: World Health Day Celebration
AMRO college of hotel management celebrates WORLD HEALTH DAY on 7th April 2008. In today’s world, when there is too much pressure on work, study, competition, one can compete or remain active only if a person remains healthy & fit. The healthy body and mind gives you a competent output in every sphere. Being healthy is an essential ingredient towards being successful. It is very important to each individual to remain healthy in this world.World Health Day is celebrated on 7th April, every year, to educate people to be healthy and make people realize the importance of being healthy and bring awareness for health conscious people. There are many programmes, seminars, quiz competitions conducted on this day for health awareness.On the occasion of World Health Day at Amro, college of Hotel Management, the students decided to feed Nashikites with healthy food. The menu selection was done in such a way to suit the theme of World Health Day,. Each and every care was taken in choosing the menu, so as to balance the food in respect of vitamins, calories, minerals, proteins and carbohydrates. It was a very well balanced nutritional menu to name a few dishes – tossed veggies, sautéed shredded chicken in the starters, potato vindaloo, tri veg curry in the main course and finally mouth watering tantalizing desserts – fresh fruit salad served with custard and Gajar Halwa. The main attraction of the whole episode was the cooking was done very conventionally on the traditional Chulha’s fired with wood. Now this itself was a healthy concept as we are aware the food cooked on Chulha is slow cooking and all the nutrients are preserved in this type of cooking.The students of Amro college have indeed given a message to Nashikites to eat healthy food and remain healthy. As the saying goes – Healthy, wealthy and wise.The students effort was appreciated by Nashikites by showering compliments to them.The team of Amro wishes to thank all sponsers and well wishers of Amro who made this theme dinner a success and wishes to congratulate the students for a job well done.“Arrogyadayi Shubhecha!”
