Diploma in Hotel Operations (DHO)

Course Duration – 2 years

Minimum Qualification – 10th (SSC or equivalent)

Awarding body – Maharashtra State Board of Vocational Examinations (MSBVE, Mumbai) Reg. No.: 070037

Highlights - Upon successful completion of this Diploma, students can enroll into 3 year Degree program in Hotel Management, or BA, BCom etc. in the a University of their choice, as this course is equivalent to HSC. (Refer to Circular. Click here)

Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Studies (BScHS)

Course Duration – 3 years

Minimum Qualification – 12th (HSC or equivalent). Minimum percentage for 45% for open category and 40% for reserved category (provided it is supported with valid certification).

Awarding body – Savitribai Phule Pune University (erstwhile University of Pune), Centre Code: 1082

Highlights - This course qualifies students to apply for PG Diploma in Canada, with a choice of two Colleges affiliated with Amro.

PROGRAM OUTCOMES FOR BSC (HS) 2019 CBCS PATTERN

  1. The basic objective is to provide to the hospitality industry a steady stream of competent young men and women with the necessary knowledge, skills, values and attitudes to occupy key operational positions.

  2. The program structure is designed keeping in view the basic objectives stated above. Consequently, certain essential features of the model are:

    • To impart to the students latest and relevant knowledge from the field of Hospitality Operations.
    • To ensure that students are equipped with necessary operational skills related to the hospitality industry.
    • To develop the right kind of values and attitudes to function effectively in the hospitality trade.

  3. The following considerations have been taken into account.

    The knowledge inputs and opportunities for skill development have been offered in an evenly distributed and logically sequenced manner with appropriate options.

  4. The design is simple and logical and offers the student a choice of subjects.

    The relative importance of skills and ability development and attitudinal orientation in hospitality education has been kept in mind. The courses have been designed and classified as core, ability enhancement, discipline specific, skills enhancement and general courses, with the freedom to choose courses from amongst discipline specific and general electives.

Twin Diploma by AHLEI (USA) and Amro (TDAA)

Course Duration – 3 years

Minimum Qualification – 10th (SSC or equivalent)

Awarding body – American Hotel and Lodging Educational Institute (USA) for Theory courses and Amro Tourism Academy for Practical courses.

Highlights - This course qualifies students to apply for PG Diploma in Canada, with a choice of two Colleges affiliated with Amro.

Bartending Course by AHLEI (USA) and Amro

Course Duration – 6 months

Minimum Qualification – 10th (SSC or equivalent)

Awarding body – American Hotel and Lodging Educational Institute (USA) for Theory course and Amro Tourism Academy for Practical course.

Highlights - We have a fully equipped and functional training Bar (Fire & Ice) where all students enrolled in this course will get their hands on training in preparing various cocktails and mocktails.

Certificate Courses by AHLEI (USA)

Course Duration – 4 to 6 months

Minimum Qualification – 10th (SSC or equivalent)

Awarding body – American Hotel and Lodging Educational Institute (USA)

Highlights - These individual and/or departmental specialization courses are offered as a “Learn at your pace” option. Students do not need to attend classes, and can check in with their assigned mentor for doubt clarification and regular tests. These courses are especially ideal for industry professionals looking to upgrate knowledge and skills. (We are the only Institute in North Maharashtra offering these courses.)

Junior College of Arts/Science/Commerce

Course Duration – 2 years

Minimum Qualification – 10th (SSC or equivalent)

Awarding body – Pune Board

Highlights - Students can enroll into either Arts, Science or Commerce. Intake capacity of 120 Students per stream. No requirement of Online Process for Admissions.

Government Funded FREE Courses

From time to time Amro offers free courses which are funded by the government. In the recent past Amro has successfully completed one batch each of Housekeeping, F&B Service and Cooking courses in affiliation with Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC). Amro is also an approved centre for offering Hospitality courses of MSSDS (under Skill Development Scheme). Recently Amro has started offering Hospitality courses under the flagship of our Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. The scheme is called as Pradhan Mantri Kaushalya Vikas Yojna (PMKVY -2).

All of the courses are absolutely free to the students.
