ACTIVITIES  ACADEMIC YEAR 2000-2001
    
1 August 2, 2000

 Inaugral Function of the FIRST Batch ( 2000-2003) Chief Guest was Mr. K.V.Simon Vice President AH&LA , Mr. Digvijay Kapadia a noted figure of Nashik and a well known businessman in Nashik , Mr. Anil Minocha ,Mrs. Vineeta Dharkar , Industrialist, Presidents from Rotary Clubs of Nashik, Students and their Parents, Directors and Faculty Members. Opening speech was given by the Chairman Mr, Rajan Soni  as he went thru the concept of starting the Institute of AMRO.
Event was followed by Lunch.
    
    
2 August 15, 2000 

Independence Day Celebrations. Dress Code was Traditional. After the Flag Hoisting there was a cultural Program put up by the students. The students also prepared light refreshments of hamburgers , soft drinks and wafers were served
    
3 August 26, 2000 

Pizza , Burger , Sizzler festival held at the Plaza Hotel.The event was sponsored by Coke . There was a student competetion for designing a Menu Card and
Monica Kale bagged the first Prize.The Food festival was held at Baywatch outlet of the Hotel and was held till Sept 3rd,2000

Parsi New Year day " PATETI"  was celebrated. As the Principal of AMRO who was also the GM of the Hotel was Parsi , the day was celebrated with a luncheon party,where the students spoke about the Parsi culture , religion and a typical Parsi menu was cooked by the students it was titled "Jamva Chalogi" Kaju -Ni- Murgi ( Boneless Chicken cooked in cashewnut gravy) Nariel Na Dudh ma Randhelu Cauliflower ( Cauliflower cooked in Coconut milk) Dhansak Na Vagrela Chawal  Dhansak whole grain Rice), Choka Ni Roti ( Rice flour Roti) , Nariel Ni Chutney (Green  Coconut Chutney), Gajar No Halwa( Carrot Halwa)

 Visit to Mother Teresa's  "Prem Dan" Students cooked food and served the inmates. It was to celebratePre Diwali celebrations with them.It also  happened to be the Eve of Golden Jubliee of the  Missioneries of Charity.

ODC for Career Fair organised by Udyogwardhani and Computer Society of India Nashik Chapter Of  Daily Lokmat Newspaper, Venue Kaladan at Shalimar. The fair was held for three days till July 1st,2001 starting at 10:00 am till 9:00 pm everyday. First day started with Inagural function where our students spoke about a career in Hospitality Industryand also the Hotel Management AMRO offers.AMRO had two stalls At one stall the students prepared and sold Cutlets, Sandwiches,patties, Cookies, Tea Coffee etc. The second stall had students career counselling to visitors for Hotel Management and more specifically about AMRO and 3 yr Diploma Prog.
