A laundry visit to Ananta Laundry was held for the third semester students to see the automatic machineries performing the washing and dry cleaning activities for the various hotels of Nashik.

Event: 11th Foundation Day
The programme begun by welcoming the chief guest, parents and all students. The Inauguration of the function was done by Lighting of Lamp Ceremony and Ganesh Vandana, followed by the Amro Pledge by the students.
The Welcome Speech was given by Chairman Shri.Rajan Soni, Where he highlighted the achievement of Amro during the years. The Award Distribution Ceremony begun with the announcement of “Chairman’s Award of Encouragement”, this award is given to the underprivileged student and sponsors the student for the studies, provided the student meets a minimum scholastic achievement. This prestigious award was given to Gaurav Bane who was adopted by the AMRO team for free education for the year.
The students had participated in many Indoor and Outdoor Games, Cookery Competitions, Debate and Quiz Competition not only in Nashik but also represented the college at Manipal and Delhi during the Academic year. The students were felicitated by Certificates, Awards and Cash prizes, which were distributed by the hands of the chief guest.
For the Foundation Day Programme the students of Amro had also organized cultural and Entertainment programme for the guests and the parents.

Event: Independence Day
Amro Institutes celebrated India’s Independence Day of August 15th,2011 at the college campus. The Flag hoisting was done by the Chairman, followed by the Chairman`s Speech. The SStudents had organized some entertainment programme with refreshments on the occasion.

All senior AMROITES welcomed the fresher’s by inviting them for a party which was held at the roof top restaurant of DAWAT Restaurant. There was all kinds of delicacies served for the occasion. There were dance party and a ramp walk was also organized

Event: Seminar on Overseas Industrial Training
This day the college invited Aliff Overseas from Mumbai to present a lecture on students who would like to go abroad to do their Industrial Training more specifically to the Republic of Germany.

Students and Faculty left for Manipal on Sept 11th to participate for college competition. The competition was on Sept 13th and 14th.

Event: Annual Blood Donation Camp
To celebrate the Chairman’s birth day the annual ritual of Blood Donation was conducted on this date through the Janakalyan Blood Bank. All in all only 18 students were able to donate as most other students were found to be anemic .

Event: Inter College competition at New Delhi
The annual Banarsi Das Chandiwala Institute of Hotel Management in New Delhi had invited TEAM AMRO once again to participate in their competition. This year the competition was organized from Oct 19th to 21st,2011 Unlike other years the this year our team could not win any prize due to the fact that other teams performed better than ours. Better luck next year TEAM AMRO.

Event: Campus visit by ibis Hotel
Famous French Hotel Chain is about to open their brand ibis in Nashik. This is the first international hotel being opened in Nashik. The General Manager Mr. Rohit Ahuja accompanied by their corporate Training Manager, Manager HR and our own AMROITE from the Batch of 2003 Ms. Monica Kale who has joined as Front Office Executive were present at AMRO Campus to brief about the future of Amroites with ibis.

Event: Annual Theme Dinner
The AMROITES of first and third year organized the annual theme dinner. As always the second year students were on their Industrial Training hence they could not participate for the same. This year’s theme was ITC ( Indian,Thai and Chinese ). Our main sponsors were ibis and Sula.

Event: Visit to Sula Vineyards
A visit to Sula vineyards was organized on this date. The Amroites and the faculty were participants in this. The students were explained about the wine making process and at the end there was a wine testing. Thank you very much Mr. Monit Dhavale( Manager Operations) and team Sula for making this visit a memorable one.

Event: Visit to Gateway Hotel, Nashik
This year Amroites had a Hotel Visit of the Gateway Hotel Nashik ( a Five Star Taj group property). The students had a look at the functioning of all departments of this property. The students are not new to this property as most students visit this property regularly for their waiting duties. But this was an experience of a kind where they were appraised of the functioning of the hotel’s each department. All ended with tea and snacks in their cafeteria. Thank you Ms. Shibali Shinde – HR Manager for organizing this event.

Event: Visit by Mr. Sandeep Sonar, Nashik
Mr. Sandeep Sonar an Hotel Management graduate and a an entrepreneur running a catering business in Nashik visited our institute as a guest lecturer to appraise Amroites for the future in Catering Industry. The other side of the gloomy industry a real reality check.
