Room Attendant Identifies housekeeping requirements, procedures and gathers resources for the guest rooms and defined areas, completes assigned housekeeping tasks and monitors & maintains cleanliness and tidiness at the workplace.

Brief Job Description The primary role of entails keeping guest rooms and defined areas in clean and orderly condition. The core responsibility includes ‘systematic’ c cleaning of the rooms and other defined area, providing linen, performing periodic & deep cleaning to maintain cleanliness and tidiness.

Personal Attributes The individual needs to bear high integrity, a good moral character, pleasing deportment, healthy habits and good grooming in addition to being physically fit, committed and proficient.

Role Description
Identifies housekeeping requirements, procedures & resources for the guest rooms and defined area, completes assigned housekeeping tasks to maintain cleanliness and tidiness.
Educational Qualifications
Minimum 8th pass.

Suggested but not mandatory
Experience
Preferable 6 months in the role of a Housekeeping attendant (manual cleaning)
Applicable National Occupational Standards (NOS)
Compulsory
  1. THC/N0208 : Prepare for performing housekeeping operations.
  2. THC/N0210 : Clean floors, washrooms and bathrooms and replenish supplies.
  3. THC/N0212 : Clean furniture, fittings and other vertical surfaces.
  4. THC/N0214 : Obtain linen and make beds
  5. THC/N0215 : Carry out periodic room servicing and deep cleaning
  6. THC/N0216 : Maintain area neat and tidy
  7. THC/N0217 : Collect and dispose waste propperly
  8. THC/N0207 : Report, record and prepare documentation
  9. THC/N9901 : Communicate effectively with customer and colleagues
  10. THC/N9902 : Maintain customer-centric service orientation
  11. THC/N9903 : Maintain standard of etiquette and hospitable conduct
  12. THC/N9904 : Follow gender and age sensitive service practices
  13. THC/N9905 : Maintain IPR of organisation and customers
  14. THC/N9906 : Maintain health and hygiene at hospitality and tourism areas
  15. THC/N9907 : Maintain safety at workplace
